Noted by Damian Cugley .Not to my taste but I know Thinkpad users who might be excited by this: a mechanical keyboard that carefully reproduces the Thinkpad layout, complete with red trackpoint in the middle and mouse keys under the spacebar. Available ready-made with Cherry keyswitches, or as a kit for people who want to specify fancier switches and don’t mind a bit of soldering.

Noted by Damian Cugley .The PACK.PNG project was an attempt to discover the world seed and location of a landscape fragment used as an icon in Minecraft from the cropped, downscaled screen grab from an obsolete version of the game. This video describes the collaboration of 3,500 people to define and search what was in effect the cryptographic keyspace whose plaintext was that particular hill.

Noted by Damian Cugley .Eco housing has to be deisgned differently depending on the local climate. I am used to thinking of green houses as carefully sealed boxes with triple-glazed windows to retain heat during winter. This one, designed for Costa Rica, is the exact opposite.
